A COMPUTATIONAL GENOME ANALYSIS OF STRAIN BACILLUS SUBTILIS MIZ-8 ISOLATED FROM BEKANG REVEALS A DISTINCT CHROMOSOME AND PLASMID CONFERRING SELECTIVE ADVANTAGE

Bacillus subtilis Miz-8 is isolated from Bekang, a traditional fermented soybean food of Mizoram, India. Here, we report computationally analyzed strain mapped to the annotated genome reference subsp. natto BEST195. has circular chromosome and small plasmid with size 4105264 bp 5838 bp, respectively. Genome contains genes responsible for synthesis biosynthetic metabolites like surfactin, fengycin, bacillibactin, bacilysin, subtilosin A alpha amylase production. The harbored virulence identical BEST195 render themselves harmless human consumption. However, Strain one intact prophage region but no integrase protein, making it incapable lateral transfer antimicrobials. Antibiotic resistance were predicted among which tmrB gene was on perfect hit. Plasmid sequences antibiotic genes. Furthermore, there several single nucleotide polymorphisms 344 insertion-deletion polymorphisms. Miz-8's genomic information unmasks its functional significance health.
